Controversial lawmaker Mohsin Dawar responsible for North Waziristan military checkpost attack: sources

NORTH WAZIRISTAN - Controversial lawmaker Mohsin Dawar is responsible for attack on military check-post and deaths in North Waziristan.

Sources privy to development further added that Mohsin Dawar has been at large and is using local population as human shield to hide.

Sources further added that Mohsin Dawar is exploiting innocence of the local population for his nefarious intentions and vested agenda.

On the other hand, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Bannu today has remanded Ali Wazir in custody of Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) for eight days. The controversial lawmaker has been shifted to Peshawar.

Earlier yesterday [May 26], five soldiers were injured as miscreants led by Ali Wazir and Mohsin Dawar attacked a check-post in North Waziristan, a press-release issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated today.

The aim of the attack at Khar Qamar check-post was to exert pressure to get facilitators of terrorists released.

The ISPR said three attackers were killed while 10 others were injured in fire exchange.

According to the ISPR, eight people including Ali Wazir were taken into custody.

"A group led by Mohsin Javed and Ali Wazir, assaulted Kharqamar check post, Boyya,North Waziristan tribal district this morning. They wanted to exert pressure for release of suspected terrorists’ facilitator arrested the other day.
