Pompeo meets Modi in New Delhi

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo held talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi during a visit in which he is expected to tackle a host of delicate issues from trade to New Delhi's longstanding defense and energy ties to Russia and Iran.
Pompeo met Modi at his residence ahead of his meeting with Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankaris.
Pompeo's visit is expected to lay the ground for talks between U.S. President Donald Trump and Modi later in the week on the sidelines of the G20 summit in the Japanese city of Osaka.
