Syrian Army launches assault on city of Daraa

ISLAMABAD: The Syrian army has launched an assault on city of Daraa after a week of deadly bombardment on the nearby countryside caused mass displacement.
According to state media, government forces have set their sights on retaking the city, a strategic area that borders Jordan and the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.
