Top Indian Journalists condemn Indian government orders of arresting New paper editors

In India, top journalists have condemned the orders to arrest two newspaper editors in Karataka, Radio Pakistan has reported.

They accused the state assembly of gross misuse of powers and privilege by ordering that two editors be arrested for allegedly defaming local lawmakers.

Police said a warrant was issued for the two journalists last week for breach of privilege and criticising lawmakers.
