"Protection against Harassment of Women Bill" reviewed

ISLAMABAD: (APP) The National Assembly Standing Committee on Human Rights on Monday considered "the Protection against Harassment of Women at Workplace (Amendment) Bill, 2014" and decided to hold further deliberations on it in the next meeting.
The meeting of the Committee was held under the Chairmanship of Babar Nawaz Khan, MNA and attended by Stefano Gatto, Acting Ambassador of European Union as a special invitee.
During the meeting, the committee also granted confirmation of its previous meeting minutes, said a news release issued here.
"Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) Plus status of Pakistan is under threat for non-compliance with many Conventions of European Union (EU) related to Human Rights".
The representative of European Union briefed the Committee about Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) Plus Status in detail.
