ISLAMABAD-China seizes US consulate in Chengdu in retaliation for its ouster from consulate in Houston, Texas.
China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement, the US consulate in Sichuan province was closed at 10 a.m.
Meanwhile, a US State Department spokesperson has shown their disappointment regarding the decision.
