Khurram Manzoor breaks historic record of legendary Saeed Anwar

Karachi: Opening batsman Khurram Manzoor has surpassed batting maestro Saeed Anwar’s record of most centuries in List A cricket by a Pakistani batsman.

The 34-year-old Khurram has now registered 27 centuries in this format. He reached the landmark after smacking unbeaten 143* for Sindh against Central Punjab in the final round of the ongoing Pakistan Cup.

After Khurram and Saeed, former captain Salman Butt is third on the list with 24 centuries while Pakistan’s current captain Babar Azam is at fourth with 22. Wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal has 21 centuries and sits at the fifth spot.

In his 213 minute stay at the crease, he hit 15 fours and a six. Sindh finished on 277 for the loss of seven wickets.

In his 19-year-old career, Khurram has scored 7541 runs in 154 matches with an average of 54+.
