NEW DELHI: In India, the apex court reconstituted a five-member bench for the hearing of sensitive Babri Mosque case.
According to local media reports, Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi reconstituted the five-judge constitution by adding two new judges to the bench which will hear the case on 29th of this month.
The ruling Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party and some of its allies and right-wing groups want a special executive order or ordinance to enable the start of construction of Hindu Temple at the site of Babri mosque before the general elections are announced.
It is widely speculated that if the permission is granted, it would bring massive voter share to BJP in the upcoming elections.
