Punjab Government to buy helicopter from Russia worth Rs. 1.5 billion

LAHORE: Two officials of the Punjab government, Additional Secretary Welfare Mudassar Riaz Malik and Secretary for Minerals and Mining Arsahd Mahmood, on Thursday left for Russia to ink agreement for purchase of a new helicopter costing around Rs1.5 billion.
Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD) had issued no objection certificate (NOC) to the officials for Russia visit.
Arrival of Malik and Arshad is being anticipated on February 3; after completion of paperwork.
