BISP becomes Pakistan's largest financial programme

ISLAMABAD: (APP) Over 5.4 million women have been getting benefit from Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) across the country.
An official of BISP, talking to Radio Pakistan said that with an increased budget of one hundred and fifteen billion rupees, the BISP has become Pakistan`s largest women financial inclusion programme.
The program has started Biometrics Verification System for facilitating the payment to beneficiaries.
The program has led to significant decline in poverty by seven percent.
The program has initiated online complaint management system through its helpline number as well as through live radio complaint resolution.
