Khazeena Dam construction to be completed in 2020

ISLAMABAD: Khazeena Dam being constructed with the total cost of Rs288.683 million, is scheduled to be completed on April 24, 2020, as per approved PC-1 of the project, an official of the Water Division told APP here.
He said the Khazeena dam was being constructed runoff on the Loe Lahara River of Solan Dargi, district Musakhel with the water storage capacity of 4,000 acre feet.
He said that the primary objective of Khazeena Dam was to provide water to irrigated cultivable command area of 4,800 acres besides flood protection of the downstream area, ensuring water supply to lower riparian nearby Musakhel Town.
He said the government of Balochistan has also awarded tender of 10 kilometres road from Musakhel Town to Khazeena Dam at Solan Dargai area Musakhel district.
He said the site of Khazeena Dam has been selected by field staff of Irrigation Department Government of Balochistan.
