After ECL, Asif Zardari set to get yet another worst blow

KARACHI – PPP Co Chairperson Asif Ali Zardari is likely to be deseated from the National Assembly as the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has accepted the plea seeking disqualification of former president Asif Ali Zardari for preliminary hearing.
The plea will be fixed for hearing soon. The stance of both parties will be listened after hearing the arguments.
Earlier, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had submitted an application to the Sindh Election Commission, seeking disqualification of PPP co-chairman Asif Zardari.
It stated that Asif Zardari had not mentioned his flat in the US in his assets. “After concealing the assets, Asif Zardari has not remained ‘Sadiq’ and ‘Amin’,” it said.
