PTI challenges PM Shahbaz Sharif over appointment of new Army Chief

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhry has said that they will not allow Shahbaz Sharif to appoint new Army Chief, otherwise anarchy will spread.
Fawad Chaudhry said in his tweet that the constitution gives the elected Prime Minister the right to appoint Army Chief and other appointments, the current government has no right to such permanent appointments.
He said that if the imported government dreams of such appointments then the country and institutions will fall prey to chaos.
The status of this government is only temporary. Permanent appointments will be made by the elected government.
