NEPRA to increase electricity prices by Rs 3.15 per unit

*ISLAMABAD - National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) will conduct hearing on Wednesday on the application of Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA).*
Application to increase power Tariff has been submitted under the head of fuel price adjustment. According to the application, 10 billion units electricity was produced in the month of March. Total cost of electricity production remained Rs94billion.
The most expensive electricity was produced from furnace oil which cost Rs22.52 per unit. The electricity which is produced from LNG cost Rs14.36 per unit. Electricity was imported from Iran on Rs17.35 per unit. Electricity of Rs0.27 per unit was spent on line losses.
