Tehran, Jan 26, IRNA – Syrian authorities on Friday seized a large amountof weapons, various ammunition, toxic materials and Israeli-made mines leftby Daesh (ISIS) terrorist organization in the eastern countryside of DeirEzzor.
The authorities discovered Israeli-made mines, poisonous materials andweapons from the remnants of Daesh during the sweeping operations of thevillages of al-Sayyal, Hassrat and the town of al-Jalaa in the easterncountryside of the province, according to Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA)reporter.
The authorities continue their work in the villages and towns of theeastern countryside of Deir Ezzor and cleansing the area of the remnants ofDaesh in preparation for the return of the families to their homes.
Earlier this month, about 3,000 displaced persons returned to their homesin the province after their basic needs were secured by the Syrian state.
