In Islamabad, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Pakistan (JUI-P) announced their intention to form an alliance with like-minded parties, focusing on the country's better future and the welfare of its people.
A PTI spokesperson revealed that discussions between both parties addressed the current political landscape, emphasizing the importance of allowing elected representatives to govern Pakistan after elections and address the country's pressing challenges.
The PTI delegation, led by former National Assembly speaker Asad Qaiser, engaged in talks with JUI-P, represented by Amir Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani, along with Maulana Gul Naseeb Khan and Maulana Abdul Khaliq.
Meanwhile, the PTI expressed concern over the prolonged delays in the legal proceedings involving PTI chairman Imran Khan, labeling it a "cruel strategy" to obstruct justice and subject him to political retribution.
The party appealed to Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa to ensure that all cases against Imran Khan are heard objectively and expedited for resolution.
Furthermore, the PTI spokesperson welcomed the safe return of renowned journalist Imran Riaz Khan, commending Khan's family for their resilience during a challenging period. The party urged swift and secure returns for all other missing citizens.
