LAHORE –Punjab government responds over media reports of heart attack to former PM NAWAZ Sharif.
Punjab Law Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid said that the jailed prime minister Nawaz Sharif had suffered a minor heart attack and there was no big damage.
Addressing a press conference on Saturday, she said that the platelets of Nawaz Sharif had reached 45,000.
The minister said that a heart patient is under a continuous threat. “Nawaz Sharif’s doctors are also satisfied with his treatment,” he said.
She said that Nawaz Sharif’s blood pressure was not under control for last two days, but now it is under control. “The sugar level of Nawaz Sharif is also under control. Blood-thinning medicines are being given to him,” he said.
The minister disclosed that Nawaz Sharif’s echocardiogram (echo) test was also normal. “Nawaz Sharif is in a better condition as compared to his condition on arrival in hospital,” she said. “We are not doing politics on the health of Nawaz Sharif and the PML-N should not do so.”
