PITB completes 270 projects in five years

LAHORE: Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) completed 270 projects in five years, digitalizing complete record of Agriculture, Education, Police, Revenue and other departments.
It was revealed by PITB Chairman Dr Umar Saif while presenting PITB's five years performance report here at Arfa Kareem Tower on Wednesday.
He said that attendance of teachers and school staff is being monitored through real time application while record of high court has also been computerized.
Saif said that Anti Corruption department record has also been digitalized while record of provincial departments is saved on various places through a modern technology and fire can not affect the data.
Attendance of staff of 83 hospitals is being checked through biometric system and record of medicines purchase in hospitals was also computerized, he added.
He told the media that as many as 1.4 million complaints had been received in police stations through a modern technology and more than 2.9 million suspects had been checked through biometric system.
