Federal cabinet refused permission for India: Report

ISLAMABAD - The cabinet has given approval to turn Postal life insurance into public limited company.

The approval was given during a meeting of the federal cabinet under the chair of Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad on Tuesday.

During the meeting, the cabinet members refused permission to import items from India. Instead, they suggested that items should be imported from China.

The cabinet also reviewed the 16-point agenda and economic situation of the country.

Later, during the zero-hour the prime minister was briefed about the Supreme Court's verdict of suspending army chief's tenure extension.

The PM reportedly reprimanded Law Minister Farogh Naseem for not fulfilling the legal requirements in the matter.

He asked the law minister the reason for not fulfilling the legal criteria and taking into consideration the basic points in the said case.
