Two Federal Ministers likely to resign

ISLAMABAD: Two federal ministers have offered their resignation and are expected to set down with the next two days, in wake of the botched up operation against protestors in Islamabad.

Law Minister Zahid Hamid and Religious Affairs Minister Sardar Yusuf on Sunday met with Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif where the decision was made.

Both were members of the parliamentary committee which made an amendment in the Khatm-e-Nabuwat clause over the oath taken by parliamentarians reaffirming their faith in the finality of prophet hood.

Hamid met said he was ready to resign to bringing the ongoing crisis to an end. He is expected to submit his resignation with Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi within one twenty-four hours.
