ISLAMABAD, (APP): Islamabad High Court two judges proceeded against in Supreme Judicial Council
The Supreme Judicial Commission (SJC) on Tuesday met here to proceed for references filed against two Islamabad High Court (IHC) judges.
Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali chaired the commission meeting, which, according to sources, started proceedings against IHC Chief Justice Anwar Khan Kasi and Justice Shoukat Aziz Siddiqui.
During the proceedings, Justice Anwar Khan Kasi pleaded to resign as IHC Chief Justice. The hearing was later adjourned.
The references were filed against IHC Chief Justice Anwar Khan Kasi for illegal appointments and misuse of authority and Justice Shoukat Aziz Siddiqui for misuse of authority.
