ISLAMABAD, May 26 (APP): Child Labour on rise in India

 

The number of child labourers involved in mica mining in Jharkand (India) in the year 2016 is rises up to 20,000.

 

According to a press release issued here on Thursday, role of Dutch companies and main manufacturers of the mica mining area of Jharkhand comprises an estimated 300 remote villages that are involved in child labour in Jharkhand/Bihar for mica mining and processing, a serious concern for those raising voice against   child labour.

Child labour occurs in these remote villages, including collecting/mining mica, cobbling and hammering minerals other than mica from the mine rocks.
