LAHORE: Social Media Icon Twitter had refused to block the blasphemous content on Pakistan request but blocked the accounts raising Indian atrocities in Kashmir on Indian directions.

Twitter has blocked hundreds of accounts highlighting Kashmir issue.

The social media site had previously rejected Pakistan’s request to block accounts bearing blasphemous content.

The twitter administration has blocked the accounts of various Jamaat-ud-Dawa leaders including the spokesperson Yahya Mujahid without listing any reason.

The banned accounts include those which are raising voice against Indian atrocities in held Kashmir.

The spokesperson has said that Twitter has blocked their accounts due to pressure from India.

He revealed that the accounts are active and also include their English magazine ‘Invite’.
