Bhikki Power Plant starts power generation, 700 MW added in National grid

Power generation from second turbine of Bhikki Power Plant has begun.
According to a spokesman for Punjab Government, the plant, which started its test run two weeks ago, will add seven hundred megawatt electricity to the national grid next month.
He said Bhikki Power Plant will prove to be a milestone in the country's power sector by lowering the production cost and benefiting the consumers.
