Israel fires two missiles on Damascus airport

Israeli Air Force has fired two missiles on Damascus Airport targeting an Iranian cargo plane.

Alleged footage on social media of the strike seems to show the missiles striking a target, but local reports say nothing was hit.

The head of monitoring group, Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, Rami Abdel Rahman, said Israeli missiles hit arms depots for Hezbollah near the airport.

The observatory said Syrian air defence failed to intercept the missiles.

The Syrian Human Rights Organisation said the Israeli missiles were aimed at a shipment of weapons destined for Hezbollah.
