ISLAMABAD- Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed says tender for Main Line One railway project will be issued by the end of this month.
Addressing a ceremony in Rawalpindi on Wednesday, he said railway tracks are going to be updated in the country after one hundred and fifty years.
The Minister said the previous governments did not take any steps to improve railways.
He said education has been a priority of the PTI government. He said the government plans to establish another university in Rawalpindi.
Later talking to the media, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed said the opposition wants the government to abolish the NAB so that the corrupt people are not held accountable. He said the NAB is an independent institution.
