PCB shortlists players for the Asia Cup 2018, training camp planned at Army School Abbottabad

LAHORE – Pakistan Cricket Board has shortlisted 26 players for the upcoming Asia Cup 2018 scheduled to be played in UAE next month.
A training camp has been scheduled to take place at Army School of Physical & Training (ASPT), Abbottabad from August 27 to 31, 2018.
PCB has decided to initiate a 4-day camp ahead of Asia Cup 2018 to coach players for the tournament, says a press release issued by the issued by the cricket board on Sunday.
Asia Cup will be held from September 15-28 in the UAE. Pakistan will take on India on September 19. The Group A includes India, Pakistan and a qualifier team. The Group B includes Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan. The UAE, Nepal, Singapore, Oman, Malaysia and Hong Kong will be competing in August to qualify as the sixth team.
The inaugural match of Asia Cup will be played between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka on September 15. Pakistan will play their first match against the qualifier team on September 16.
The training camp schedule for the Asia Cup will be announced later.
