Tribal people laud PM development initiatives

The tribal people and leaders have lauded announcement of mega development projects by Prime Minister Imran Khan for development of South Waziristan and termed it a mega step forward to bring the hitherto district at par with developed regions of the country.

A tribal elder of Wana, main town of South Waziristan, Khan Mahsud told APP the Prime Minister has won the hearts and minds of hundreds of thousands of tribal people after announcing different mega uplift projects worth millions of rupees during his recent historic visit to South Waziristan.

He said literacy ratio was very low in the district than settled areas of KP and construction of two new degree colleges on each for boys and girls as announced by the Prime Minister will provide quality education facilities to tribal students at their doorsteps.

The time and money of students would be saved and mostly girls’ students would be largely benefited from construction of a degree college at Wana.

He said new colleges were the old demand of tribal people and the Prime Minister has fulfilled their long awaited demand.

Ali Wazir, another tribal elder from Tehsil Sararogha South Waziristan highly appreciated the development package announced by the Prime Minister and termed it an inclusive and wide ranging.

He said Sehat Insaf Card was the long awaited demand of tribal people that was fulfilled by the Prime Minister and this facility would bring positive change in lives of poor segment of the society.
