PM to inaugurate networks of Motorways in next 3 weeks

ISLAMABAD: (APP) Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday terming transparency and efficiency as the government's vision of governance said no compromise would be made on these components.

Talking to Chairman National Highway Authority Shahid Ashraf Tarar here at the PM House, the Prime Minister said the reforms agenda of the government revolved around progress and prosperity of the people of Pakistan.

Nawaz Sharif said the years ahead would witness a more progressive and developed Pakistan through sincere and concerted efforts of the government.

"Our endeavours have significantly raised the standard of living of the masses. Pakistan is different now from what it used to be three years ago," he said.

The Prime Minister mentioned that a network of motorways was being spread across the country which would complement the regional connectivity initiative.

It will also speed up development process, increase economic growth of Pakistan and generate employment opportunities across the country, he added.

The Chairman NHA gave a comprehensive briefing to the Prime Minister on the status of ongoing as well as future development projects across the country.

The Prime Minister was briefed that utmost transparency had been ensured while initiating these motorways projects.

The Prime Minister will perform the groundbreaking of Havelian-Thakot, Multan-Sukkur, D.I. Khan-Hakla, Lahore-Multan and Sialkot-Lahore Motorways during the next three weeks.

The Prime Minister was apprised that infrastructure development projects worth Rs-800 billion, including CPEC Projects, would be completed during the next two to three years.
