ISLAMABAD: JUI F Chief Fazalur Rehman makes shocking revelations over dealfor calling off the Islamabad sit-in.
Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Fazlur Rehman has made a shockingdisclosure about “conditions” upon which the opposition’s Azadi Marchsit-in was called off.
“I was assured that a change would come in the month of December […] I wasassured that new general elections would be held in the next three months,”he revealed.
“We need to wait whether in-house change [in the parliament] is brought orthe entire government is sent packing,” he said.
Meanwhile, Fazl has called multiparty conference (MPC) of the oppositionparties on November 26 aimed at discussing next course of action againstthe ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Sources told the media that Fazl has invited several influentialpoliticians including Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) Ahsan Iqbaland Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and seniorleadership of Awami National Party (ANP), Qaumi Watan Party, National Party(NP), Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan (JUP), Jamiat Ahle-Hadees, Pakhtunkhwa MilliAwami Party (PMAP) to attend the meeting.
However, PML-N’s Maryam Nawaz has excused herself from attending themeeting due to health issues, including blood pressure and diabetes.Doctors have recommended her bed rest.
