Punjab government responds over media reports of heart attack to former PM NAWAZ Sharif

LAHORE –Punjab government responds over media reports of heart attack toformer PM NAWAZ Sharif.

Punjab Law Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid said that the jailed prime ministerNawaz Sharif had suffered a minor heart attack and there was no big damage.

Addressing a press conference on Saturday, she said that the platelets ofNawaz Sharif had reached 45,000.

The minister said that a heart patient is under a continuous threat. “NawazSharif’s doctors are also satisfied with his treatment,” he said.

She said that Nawaz Sharif’s blood pressure was not under control for lasttwo days, but now it is under control. “The sugar level of Nawaz Sharif isalso under control. Blood-thinning medicines are being given to him,” hesaid.

The minister disclosed that Nawaz Sharif’s echocardiogram (echo) test wasalso normal. “Nawaz Sharif is in a better condition as compared to hiscondition on arrival in hospital,” she said. “We are not doing politics onthe health of Nawaz Sharif and the PML-N should not do so.”
