Khawar Maneka, former husband of Bushra Bibi arrested by FIA

On Monday, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) took action to prevent Khawar Maneka, the former spouse of Bushra Bibi, from boarding a flight bound for Dubai.Mr. Maneka has found himself embroiled in a 'corruption' case initiated by the Punjab Anti-Corruption Establishment, which has led to his recent travel restrictions.

The FIA explained that Khawar Maneka had intended to travel to Dubai on an international airline when they halted his departure due to his inclusion in the Exit Control List (ECL). They further stated their intent to transfer him to the anti-corruption team upon arrival at Lahore Airport, underscoring the severity of the allegations against him.

Khawar Maneka holds a senior position within the Customs department and hails from Pakpattan. He is notably known for his spiritual devotion to the 13th-century mystic Baba Farid Ganj Shakkar.

In addition to his own pursuits, it's worth noting that his father, Ghulam Muhammad Maneka, had a prominent political career, having also served as a federal minister during Benazir Bhutto's time as Prime Minister. Ghulam Muhammad Maneka sadly passed away in 2011.
