Khadija Shah arrest case: New developments reported in LHC

In Lahore, the Lahore High Court (LHC) expressed dissatisfaction with a report submitted by the Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) related to Khadija Shah's incitement case following the May 9 riots.
Justice Ali Baqar Najafi, in his order, stated that the report from the CCPO appeared unsatisfactory and directed the CCPO to appear in person at the next hearing on October 27 to clarify his position.
Khadija, a PTI social activist and prominent fashion designer, had filed a plea seeking contempt proceedings against police high-ups for her arrest in a third undisclosed case.
Despite receiving post-arrest bail in two FIRs, she was rearrested for allegedly abetting in the Rahat Bakery arson case. Justice Najafi also questioned the CCPO about the reasons behind the petitioner's arrest in another FIR.
The proceedings were adjourned until October 27, with an order for the CCPO to appear in person at the next hearing to explain the situation.
