An incredible talent was sidelined due to Babar's 'friendhsip' with Shadab

After the national team's loss against Afghanistan in the World Cup, former cricketers and cricket enthusiasts have started to criticize the team. In the World Cup, Pakistan has played five matches, with two victories and three losses.

The Green Shirts will play their next match against South Africa on Friday. Cricket analysts are also voicing criticism of the national team following the loss to Afghanistan.

Analyst Nauman Niaz mentioned that there were several talented players who were not included in the team. Shadab Khan and Usama Mir are spin bowlers who specialize in T20 cricket. He stated that they prioritized Shadab Khan for friendship's sake, but he has not performed well in One Day Internationals due to his lack of experience in First-Class cricket and, consequently, in Test cricket.

Nauman Niaz pointed out that this situation is similar to Haris Rauf's case. They did not include their talented spinner, Abrar Ahmed, in the fifteen-member squad, fearing that if Shadab Khan's performance was not up to the mark, they would need to bring Abrar into the final eleven.

He also mentioned that the planning seems to be flawed since players like Abdullah Shafique and Saud Shakeel were not part of the plan, and they are performing well now.
