Pakistan gets yet another good news on economic front

ISLAMABAD - Export of food commodities from the country during first quarter of current financial year increased by 13.98 percent.

According to data released by Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, different food commodities worth 984.757 million dollars were exported during the said period as compared to the exports of 864.005 million dollars during the corresponding period of last year.

Meanwhile, the imports of the food commodities into the country decreased by 24.78 percent as it came down from 1.458 billion dollars of first quarter of last year to 1.096 billion dollars in same period of current financial year.

On the other hand, tea imports in the country during first three months of current financial year reduced by 31.05 percent as compared to imports of the corresponding period of last year.

According to data by Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, during the period from July-September, 2019 tea imports into the country decreased by 46.039 million dollars as against the import of the same period of last year.
