ANF seizes drugs worth Rs. 2 billion in international market

RAWALPINDI: (APP) Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) has seized mega quantity of drugs weighing 3.252 ton worth Rs 2.05 billion in international market in 31 operations across the country.
The operations were conducted at Panjgur, Peshawar, Kohat, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Sheikhupura, Karachi, Gilgit and Hyderabad.
According to ANF headquarters, the seized drugs comprised of 3.229 ton Hashish, 9.32 KG Heroin, 12.4 KG Opium and 1.66 KG Amphetamine.
The operations resulted in arrest of 37 persons and interception of 10 vehicles being used in drug smuggling.
