ECNEC approved the New Gwadar International Airport project worth Rs 52 billion

The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council has approved the New Gwadar International Airport 2nd revised project of over fifty two billion rupees.
The 2nd revised project envisages construction of airport along with allied facilities over a piece of land already acquired.
Adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance Shaukat Tarin, chaired the ECNEC meeting in Islamabad.
The new airport will be suitable for bigger aircraft like Airbus A-380 and Boeing -747 and 777 for international and domestic services.
ECNEC also approved Pakistan Optical Remote Sensing Satellite project of SUPARCO worth over 27 billion rupees.
The meeting approved Sambrial-Kharian Motorway project with a total cost over 43 billion rupees.
ECNEC also approved Remodelling of Warsak Canal System in Peshawar and Nowshera districts costing over sixteen billion rupees.
