PCB to establish atleast 4 women cricket academies across Pakistan

MULTAN - Women cricket academy would be introduced likely in the city soon.According to Sports department sources, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to establish four women cricket academies including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Karachi and Multan.
The Kandaywala ground of Muslim High School for Boys was proposed for establishing cricket academy in Multan and meeting of concerned quarters in this connection was also held few days back.
The above site was suggested for academy as it is in centre of the city and easily accessible to girls, sources added.The agreement between PCB and the Education department would be made before establishing academy.
The training camps of girls from various educational institutions of South Punjab would be held at cricket academy.The academy would be helpful to hunt women talent from grass root level and for promotion of the game, sources concluded.
