Cabinet decides to take loan from ADB to resolve water issues in Balochistan: Zahoor

QUETTA: Provincial Minister for Information Zahoor Ahmed Buledi said loans of Rs 15 billion would be taken from Asian Development Bank (ADB) in order to address issues of water which was the main problem of public and province.
He said this while addressing a press conference here at Quetta Press Club. Provincial ministers including Science & Information Technology Minister Abdul Rehman Khetran, Home Minister Saleem Khosa, Finance Minister Muhammad Arif Hassani and Public Health Engineering Haji Noor Muhammad Dummar were also present on the occasion.
The information minister said the provincial cabinet had decided about taking the loan.
The cabinet had also decided to make autonomous the Fatima Jinnah Chest Hospital, besides approving Turbat Balaida Highway to be completed in one and a half year, adding the transfers and postings of 17 to 18 grade officers had been assigned to provincial secretary health.
The minister said the cabinet had also approved establishment of Mines Welfare fund.
Provincial Minister for Information Technology (IT) Abdul Rehman Khetran said the provincial government was swiftly resolving all issues of the province, adding the government was serious in addressing problems including health, education and peace.
He said the cabinet had agreed to reform the education department for enhancing quality of education. Important decisions were made to eliminate unemployment in Balochistan and vacant posts would be fulfilled for provision of jobs to youth on merit bases, he added.
