Karachi: New development reported in the investigations of the ill-fated crashed PIA Airbus near Karachi Airport.A team of the Aircraft Accident and Investigation Board on Sunday examined the runway at the Karachi airport where pilot of the ill-fated plane made botched landing attempt.

The investigators analysed the footage captured through cameras installed at the runway.

They found that the Pakistan International Airlines flight, PK8303, touched the runway but the landing gear was not down, thus, the engines hit the ground.

The plane was taken off by the pilot for a second attempt to land the aircraft but it hit a building and crashed before reaching the runway as both engines had stopped working.

The team has found scratch marks on the runway while the observed the points where patches were also ruptured.
