NEW DELHI - Invitations have been sent to SAARC and World Leaders for PM Modi oath taking ceremony, Pakistan PM not included in list Indian media has reported.

Narendra Modi is all set to sworn-in as Prime Minister of India for the second time but the date and time have not been declared yet. Meanwhile, invites are being sent to neighbouring & ASEAN countries for Modi's oath-taking ceremony which is likely to take place on 30th of May, DNA has reported.

Just like in 2014 when neighbouring countries were invited for Modi's swearing-in, in 2019 also the Modi govt's "neighbourhood first" policy and "act east" policy and growing focus on BIMSTEC grouping will continue.

During the first tenure of his government, Narendra Modi had visited all South Asian countries with some such as Nepal, Sri Lanka saw multiple visits. 2018 saw all 10 heads of ASEAN countries being invited for Republic day.

Countries have asked not to be identified since as per diplomatic norms, they keen on India formally announcing it. Pakistan still hasn't got the invite for Modi's oath-taking ceremony but it is still a week is left and invitations are still being sent out.
