Putin, Macron discuss Iran nuclear deal

MOSCOW: Russian President Vladimir Putin met his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron in St. Petersburg, Russia.
In a press conference, Russian President said they exchanged views on the situation following the US unilateral withdrawal from Iran nuclear deal.
He said the deal must be preserved as Tehran fulfills all commitments on the JCPOA.
On the Ukraine issue, Putin said Russia is ready to continue work on Ukraine conflict settlement through negotiations.
Macron said Europe must develop more efficient mechanisms to protect its economic interests. (Xinhua)
