National exchequer is public taxpayer’s money: SC

ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court Apex Judge Justice Qazi Faiz Isa said that national exchequer is public taxpayer money so government should take approval of Kisan Package from parliament before spending amount.
As per details, Kisan Package case hearing was held here at today under two member bench of Supreme Court headed by Justice Ijaz Afzal Khan.
During the hearing, Attorney General Ashtar Osaf was questioned by Justice Qazi Faiz that is Kisan Package constitutional and legal? Attorney General replied that Package is constitutional and government has power to issue funds in this regard.
Justice Qazi Faiz said in his remarks that billions of rupees for Kisan Package have been issued without any legal permission while government should take approval before spending amount of Kisan Package.
Who would return billions of rupees if supplementary grant is not approved by parliament.
Supreme Court ordered to get approve Kisan Package from Parliament saying that government could distribute Rs. 20 billion in one day after approval from parliament.
