Huge quantity of drugs recovered from PIA aircraft in Karachi

KARACHI: Huge quantity of heroin has been recovered by custom officials here at today from a PIA aircraft at Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah Airport.
As per details, Custom officials conducted search operation in PK-305 flight and recovered two packets of heroin that had been concealed in washroom.
Custom officials said that PK-305 arrived at Karachi last night carrying passengers from Lahore and intended to fly abroad in morning.
The recovered heroin weigh 27 kg and worth Rs. 30 crore in international market. The aircraft has been stopped to fly after recovering huge quantity of heroin.
On the other hand, PIA Spokesperson said that custom officials are being fully cooperated by PIA in this regard while departmental inquiry has also been ordered to investigate the matter.
