Indian biometric ID program hit by security lapse

NEW DELHI:India’s biometric ID program, Aadhaar, has been hit by another major security lapse allowing access to private information.
A data leak can allow access to private information of Aadhaar holders, exposing their names, their unique 12-digit identity numbers, and their bank details.
Aadhaar, with over 1.1 billion users is the world’s biggest database. (Reuters)/APP
