Pope Francis washes and kisses feet of Refugees including three Muslims
ROME: Pope Francis washed and kissed the feet of Refugees including three Muslims on the occasion of “Holy Thursday Mandatum” in Castelnuovo di Porto, Italy.

 

As per report “several of the migrants wept as Francis knelt before them, poured holy water from a brass pitcher over their feet, wiped them cleaned and kissed them.”

 

There were eleven refuges including 3 Eritrean Coptic Christian migrants, 4 catholic from Nigeria, 3 Muslims from Mali, Syria and Pakistan, and a Hindu man from India.

 

Pope Francis said “All of us together: Muslims, Hindus, Catholics, Copts, and Evangelicals. But all brothers and children of the same God, We have different cultures and religions, but we are brothers and we want to live in peace.”

 

The ceremony is held every year on annual Eastern Season.

 

Pope also condemned the Brussels attacks and called it a ‘gesture of war’ which led to the death of 35 people and wounded hundreds other.
