LAHORE: Punjab government has announced local holiday on Saturday, March 26 to celebrate the Urs of Sufi poet Shah Hussain, also known as Madhu Lal Hussain.
As per details, all the educational institutions and District Offices will remain close to celebrate the Mela Chiraghan in true spirit. Notification of holiday has also been issued by Punjab government in this regard.
Strict security arrangements have been made by police to avoid any unpleasant situation on Urs while walk through gates have been installed at the entrance points for strict checking of visitors.
Urs of Madhu Lal Hussain is one of the biggest festival of Punjab as thousands of visitors come in Lahore to witness the celebration of Mela Chiraghan.
