CCI under chairmanship of PM postpones Census yet again
ISLAMABAD: Council of Common Interest under the chairmanship of PM Nawaz Sharif has once again decided to postpone census in the country.

As per details, the meeting of CCI was held under the chairmanship of PM Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad here at Friday. Chief Ministers of all four provinces and officials of Statistics Department participated in the meeting.

Secretary Statistics Department briefed the members that census will be conducted throughout the country at the same time while over 3 lakh Pak Army personnel will be required to ensure the transparency in census but Pak Army is busy in operation Zarb-e-Azab to eradicate terrorism.

The meeting agreed that census will not be conducted in phases because it will be the violation of international method so it is difficult to conduct census in country in this situation while provincial governments and Armed Forces will be consulted again on the issue of census.
