NEW DELHI: Australia defeated Pakistan in ICC T20 World Cup match by 21 runs and eliminated them from the event at Punjab Cricket Association’s IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali, India.
Australia won the toss and decided to bat first.
Australia set a target of 194 runs with a main contribution of Smith’s 61 runs and Watson’s 44 off 21 balls.
Pakistan team performed very poor, Umar Akmal scored 32, Shahid Afridi 12 and Ahmed Shehzad score only 1 run.
Pakistan team could not face the bowling of Australia team and went back to pavilion one by one.
Australian Bowler Fulkner was announced player of the match who took 5 wickets for 27 runs only while Adam Zampa took 2 wickets for 32 runs.
Pakistan has dropped from the series as one win and three defeats.
Now, Australia is still in the game and will play its next match against India.
