ISLAMABAD: March 25 is a remarkable day in the history of Pakistan as 24 year ago 1992 on the same day Pakistan became the Cricket World Champion. It was the day when Pakistani cricket team succeeded to win the Cricket World Cup.

 

As per details, Pakistan team under the captaincy of Imran Khan succeeded to win the first ever World Cup by defeating English team.

 

1992 World Cup was played from 22 Feb to March 25 in Australian and New Zealand cricket grounds.

 

Legendary Imran Khan played an important role to win the tile as he scored 72 runs against English team in the final match. King of Swing Waseem Akram also played an important role in the victory of team by taking three important wickets of English batsman.
